You’re Invited to our Second Annual Princess Family Picnic!

On Sunday, June 5, pack up your favorite snacks and come celebrate the start of summer with our princess family! Join old favorites, new friends, and some of our rarer characters, too, at Thacher State Park for an afternoon of casual fun.
A Family Ticket (up to four family members) is $80 and includes:
- Interactions and Photo Ops with 6-8 magical characters! (Characters may vary from those pictured in advertising.)
- Live singing performances and sing-a-longs
- Dance lessons and story time
- Party favors for each child
- A cupcake for each guest (adults too!)
- Games, bubbles, and more
- Amazing playground and ziplining nearby
Additional children from the same household can be added for $6. Family is defined as adults who reside in a single household and their biological, adopted, foster or step-children. Contact us BEFORE PURCHASING if you wish to invite family from another household, such as grandparents.
If you don’t have a NY State Park Pass, daily admittance to the park is $6 per vehicle. The park fee is NOT included in your ticket.
The theme of this year’s picnic is Summertime Stories. Our character will share their favorites memories and stories that take place during the summer!
The event will take place in the Horseshoe II Picnic Pavilion. A map is provided in the facebook event discussion.
The first session will run from noon-1:45. Second from 2:15-4:00. Tickets are for one time slot only, though you may continue to enjoy other areas of the state park before or after your scheduled time! Since venue capacity is limited, we politely request that you do not buy tickets to both times. Performances and activities are identical for both sessions.
We encourage families to bring picnic blankets and folding chairs to allow for additional distancing.
Feel free to wear your favorite princess dress or adventure outfit! We recommend comfortable footwear for natural terrain. Don’t forget sunblock and bug spray!
Additional Details
- Please bring your own picnic to share among your immediate family! Remember to bring your own water/beverages as well. The only food included with this event will be individual cupcakes.
- Event will take place rain or shine, and at almost any temperature. Should we choose to cancel due to extreme weather, all tickets will be refunded. Announcements about this event will be made in the facebook event discussion. Please follow the facebook event to be kept up to date on event changes.
- Tickets are non-refundable. Contact us if you wish to transfer tickets to another party.
- You may transfer tickets between timeslots so long as space is available.
- Take only photos, leave only footprints! Keep our state parks beautiful by removing your own litter and not picking plants or flowers.
- Please park only in marked parking spaces. Do not park on the grass.
- Please no not bring pets to the picnic.
